Topsfield, MA January 16, 2017 –  MedData Group, LLC a leader in data-driven solutions fueling healthcare professional engagement, announces the latest findings from their MedData Point physician survey. MedData Point is a market research program powered by MedData Group that collects and analyzes data to provide healthcare marketers with insights into the latest trends, technologies and perceptions in healthcare among physicians across a variety of specialties, ages, and practice sizes.

Continuing education and staying abreast of the latest healthcare news and information is critical to physicians for providing optimal patient care.  With physicians spending most of their days caring for patients, it is important for those who market and sell to healthcare professionals to understand how and when they are consuming professional content. Based on 277 physician responses, MedData Group found that 90% of physicians said they read professional content on a regular basis when they’re not at work. In addition, results showed that weekday evenings were the most popular times physicians consumed professional content, and 40% of physicians are engaging more now with clinical case studies than they were 2-3 years ago. Email and news tied for the top choice channels for consuming content.

Results of this survey indicate that while physicians are very engaged with professional content online during work and non-work hours and vastly prefer email and news sites to all other channels. For more information on the data, please read on for the full findings.
