Social media advertising is becoming an increasingly valuable channel for reaching and engaging healthcare professionals. While Facebook and Twitter are popular channels for HCP social media advertising, other social networks have found increasing levels of engagement among physicians. One in particular is LinkedIn. Based on 150 physician responses, MedData Group found more than 90% of physicians have a LinkedIn account, and 85% of physicians with LinkedIn accounts post to their feeds. The majority of physicians who report not having a LinkedIn account are over the age of 45.
Results of this survey indicate that physicians are actively engaged with content on LinkedIn, and this could be an untapped opportunity for those interested in reaching physicians on new social channels. For more information on the data, please read on for the full findings.
